How do we reserve the date we want?
Events can be contracted up to 18 months prior to the function, with locations confirmed 90 days prior to the event. Flexibility in dates is recommended and guaranteed minimum revenue is required to secure specific event locations more than 90 days in advance. Call 808-887-7145.
What role does the hotel play in our wedding?The HawaiinWeddingDay.Com Special Event Managers at the Fairmont Orchid will guide you through every aspect of your event planning. They will assist with every aspect of the event including coordination of floral arrangements, décor, entertainment and gourmet menu selections for your special day.

Are there prepackaged wedding event available?Our packages are designed to provide a luxury experience serviced to the highest quality standards to ensure your event is a truly memorable one. We do require the purchase of a wedding package in order to be married here on property.
Can we design our own wedding event?We are also happy to customize any event to your individual specifications and can provide an array of ala carte options to mix and match. Package enhancements give you the ability to make your wedding day dreams come to life by creating a unique customized package to reflect your individual style, while enhancing the beauty of your special day.
What about the wedding cake?Our pastery chefs at the Orchid can provide a spectacular cake or cakes for your wedding
Who handles the flower arrangements?
Our onsite florist, Nohead Flower Gallery can help you select and design your wedding flowers and special event décor. If you have a photo or magazine print with a specific design, our florist will be happy to replicate that selection for your special day. Whether you prefer to customize and hand pick your individual flowers or go with traditional designs, our florists aim to satisfy the most discriminating tastes.
GUEST ROOM ACCOMMODATIONS Please inquire with your special events manager to reserve a block of rooms for guests attending your event or to assist with individual reservations. Gold Floor rooms, ocean view rooms, suite upgrades and adjoining rooms should be requested in advance. An upgraded guest room or suite can also be provided for the bride and groom for the night of their event as a package enhancement. See them online.
What are the payment requirements?
Please refer to the following for standard payment schedule:
- Good Faith deposit upon contract signing.
- 90 days prior to the wedding – 25% of the anticipated charges
- 30 days prior to the wedding – 50% of the anticipated charges
- 7 days prior to the wedding – balance of the anticipated charges and credit card authorization for any last minute changes.
- 3 days prior to the event – food and beverage guarantees are due to the hotel.
- Checkout – any remaining charges are charged to the credit card on file.
All Food & Beverage arrangements must be made through The Fairmont Orchid,
Hawaii. A 22% service charge and 4.166% State G.E.T tax charge will be charged on all
catered events.
Final guest counts are due to the hotel 72 hours (three business days) prior
to your event.
Guarantee numbers must include number of adults, children (5-12) and infants
(0-4).
Please inform your catering manager in advance of any guest food allergies or
special dietary requirements.
Additional labor fees may be applied at the discretion of the Hotel for any
requests falling outside the scope of standard event set up
and service requirements.
